Practitioners profiles: Reach & SHOUT & Dramatic Voices
Reach

A drama programme for young adults who want to further develop their love of all things theatre! These sessions are a creative space for participants to share stories, socialise, and create fantastic drama performances that they share with audiences around the borough.

Meet Hazel - 

Hazel is originally from Dublin. She works in London and Ireland as an actor, theatre-maker, facilitator and choreographer. Her first job out of drama school was the Tramshed's production of Mother Courage! Having worked her way up from a volunteer, also working previously with SHOUT and Whatever Makes You Happy, alongside Short Breaks and Holiday programmes. We are incredibly happy to have her as part of the team.

 

SHOUT

SHOUT is a therapist-supported Drama programme for young people aged 13-18 with additional learning needs. We aim to create a safe space for young people to catch up and chat, as well as a fun and creative outlet for arts and drama games. promoting the ideas of inclusivity and equality.

 

Meet Jazmin -

Jazmin is a theatre maker and inclusive facilitator. As well as making work across a range of disciplines, she works with different organisations to support young people and adults in creative and educational settings. She is currently a support mentor for Access All Areas theatre company.

 

Meet Antigone -

Antigone is a registered drama and movement therapist working in and around London. Her specialist interests include using voice as a therapeutic medium, cultural influence on emotional development and the influence of the creative arts on brain development. Antigone is passionate about working with children and young people and is currently the Lead Therapist for the charity A Space and Senior Arts Therapist at the Eden Academy. Find out more

 

Meet Ruth -

Ruth loved to dance and use movement in all aspects of my teaching. Ruth also enjoys telling stories from all over the world, which have been inspired by my travels.  She has been working with children, young people and adults with special needs for 45 years in schools, museums, farms and through the Unicorn Theatre for Children where Ruth was the Senior Workshop Leader for many years before establishing her own company - London Workshop Company.

Meet Lauren - 

Lauren (she/her) is an actor and drama facilitator and Lead Facilitator for Dramatic Voices. She is a multi-sensory artist exploring how to use sensory theatre techniques when working with young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
