Tramshed has an established reputation as a leading creator of accessible and innovative participatory and creative experiences for young people and the wider community. Our staff are passionate about the trans-formative nature of the performing arts and the
power of real community engagement, and really are at the heart of everything we do.  

Our staff are slam poets, facilitators, actors, DJs, painters and dancers, and all come from different backgrounds, cultures and professional experiences.  

We want Tramshed to reflect our (London's) amazingly diverse community and welcome all people to apply to work with us.

Front of House Officer

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual to provide effective customer service to all who engage. The role would suit someone with experience in arts administration and a passion for working in the community arts sector.

The Front of House Officer will have responsibility for ensuring efficient running of the Tramshed reception ensuring all customers are dealt with effectively and respectfully. You will have responsibility for the daily operation of the reception/box office counter and offering administration support to the General Manager.

This is an exciting time for Tramshed as we re-introduce ourselves with our new name and assets, and continue to promote our programmes and the increasing interconnection between our four key strands.

Community Programme Manager

We are now recruiting a Community Programme Manager. 

The Community Programme Manager leads, develops and delivers Tramshed’s Community Engagement Programme at The Tramshed, and has a remit to diversify and extend the reach of Tramshed’s audiences – particularly those experiencing barriers to access.  Regular programming responsibilities include Comedy @ the Tramshed, Sounds of the World and tailored events/groups for the ALD (Adults with Learning Difficulties) community all of which happen bi-monthly. Other producing  responsibilities include Tramshed Engage community productions, identifying and working with targeted groups to develop and artistic output overseeing the delivery of the Woolwich Carnival (in partnership with the Woolwich Carnival Association) offering project management and production support.  

In addition, they engage the wider community through a programme of community partnerships offering space, support and programmes which help deepen understanding of local communities and their relationship with Tramshed.
