Call for Artists and Companies

GENERATOR Scratch Night

Spring Season 2020

We’re looking for short scratch performances by young and emerging artists (age 18 to 29), to be presented at our GENERATOR event on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 January 2020, at the Tramshed in Woolwich as part of our Progression programme Spring Season 2019: Sequins, Panties and Moustaches, which will celebrate Cabaret, Drag, Burlesque and Subversion.

This is a chance to show new ideas to a public audience and to get feedback on your work.

Although we are very interested in scratch work that matches our season’s theme, we have an artistic inclusive policy for our Generator Scratch Nights, so any art form, subject, style is welcome as long as there is a strong vision behind it. In our last Generator events we had devised and scripted work, physical storytelling, mime, dance, stand-up comedy, live art, auto biographical writing, etc. So anything goes as long as it has a strong vision behind it.

GENERATOR is part of the TRAMSHED’s Progression programme of Performance and Training opportunities for Emerging artists.  You can find out more information here:

Scratch performances should be: low tech (basic lighting and PA, projection available), no longer than 15 minutes, and be new work, showing the beginnings of an idea / project
