Call out for performance work to be shown as part of a digital festival

Digitally CHARGED is the TRAMSHED's 2-day festival of digital work created during Lockdown by emerging artists.

Dates: 17th and 18th July.
We are looking for performance work by young and emerging artists to be presented live or partially live, as part of Digitally Charged, Tramshed's online festival celebrating work created during lockdown.

What we are looking for:

Pieces that can be streamed live, or partially live (work that is entirely recorded is not eligible).
Pieces created collectively (made by more than one person)
Pieces that push the boundaries of different digital platforms (Zoom, Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, etc)
The majority of artists involved to be aged 16 - 25.

Although there is a lot of digital theatre content out there, it is either individual talking heads or recorded work created prior to Lockdown. Theatres have been slow at creating new content and exploring ways in which perfomative work can be made. We want to create a festival that pushes the boundaries of digital theatre and performance, and challenges what these new forms we've had to find can achieve.

Work selected will get Marketing support, a £100 honorarium and a profit share between all involved companies of 70% of audience donations across the duration of the festival.

How to apply:
Send the following to  [email protected] by 19th June, 1pm.
A brief description of the work including what platforms it uses.
A brief bio about you or your company
A brief history of the piece if it was developed and shown before, if not give us an idea of where it might go in the future.
Any relevant links to your work.
Selected work will be announced on 22nd June.

Digitally Charged is part of the TRAMSHED's Progression programme of opportunities for emerging artists aged 16 to 25.
