Tramshed runs three targeted projects for vulnerable or at-risk young people aged 11-18.

We create safe spaces for participants to express themselves. We celebrate everyone’s unique contribution and collaborate with each participant to identify their individual needs, while collectively challenging each other to reach our fullest potential.

“I think this group is important to young people because you get to express your feelings and be who you really and truly are without worrying” Participant, 11-14 session

The term “short breaks” refers to services that help parents/carers to more effectively provide care for their disabled children by providing them regular breaks so that they can meet the needs of other children in the family; study or take part in leisure activities themselves; or carry out day to day household tasks. We also want short breaks to help make sure young people access positive activities.

Tramshed are an activity provider for Short Breaks on the behalf of the Royal Borough of Greenwich and we run activities in the school holidays. For more information on how to register your young person for Short Breaks, please visit the Royal Borough of Greenwich website.

For our Short Break on Saturday 22nd February, we are partnering with the Baked Bean Theatre Company to deliver an exciting day of drama!

Now in its 23rd Year the Baked Bean Theatre Company is an Arts Based organisation in London that works with children and adults with learning disabilities.  Working with people of all abilities we devise, create and perform our own productions telling the world that people with disabilities have a lot say. whether its singing in the Baked Bean Choir, performing in one of our dance companies, or creating memorable characters in one of our theatre companies, one thing remains the same.  Our audiences are blown away by what they see.

You will get a taste of what it’s like to be a 'Beanie' ending with a showcase of what we have created that very day!  Whether you are a regular Shakespeare, or never acted before this is the workshop for you!
