Tramshed Presents: Comedy at the Garrison

Tramshed Presents: Comedy at the Garrison

Fri 11th June 2021 - Fri 20th August 2021

20th Aug @ St George's Garrison Church

This summer we are bringing you the very best comedians on the circuit for a night of local laughs, a cash bar and weather to die for - We hope!

We honoured the Tramshed's history as being a venue for live comedy (one of the oldest comedy clubs in London actually) with monthly comedy nights before lockdown. We want to continue this legacy in the safest way to do that would be to go outdoors.

So that's exactly what we did!

We are pleased to present to you Comedy at the Garrison! So bring your family & friends, grab a couple drinks in and join us for a whole lotta laughter. Also our very own MC Daniel Ward-Nixon (The face of Comedy at Tramshed) Will not be joining us but not to fear we have Michael May, who is an exciting upcoming comedian from London. He performs all over the country and is already a regular at the UK’s biggest comedy clubs.

Friday 20th August line up includes:

Ahir Shah

Double Edinburgh Comedy Award ‘Best Show’ nominee Ahir Shah is one of the fastest-rising comedians of his generation. Shah’s sharp, intellectual brand of stand-up features a blend of philosophical inquiry, political vigour, and sweet gags. He has performed stand-up on Live At The Apollo (BBC 2), The Now Show (Radio 4) and Stand-Up Central (Comedy Central). Outside of stand up, Ahir has also been seen on shows including Have I Got News For You (BBC1), Frankie Boyle's New World Order (BBC 2), Catastrophe (Channel 4), and Campus (Channel 4).

He has also performed and regularly writes on The Mash Report (BBC 2) and has written and starred in the short films Ahir Shah’s Summer (Sky) and Ahir Shah’s Life Lessons (BBC Three) and has developed two sitcom pilots for Channel 4.

Toussaint Douglas

As seen on BBC’s Funny Festival Live (BBC Two) and a main cast member and writer for smash hit show Bamous (BBC Three/One), Toussaint Douglass is one of comedy’s most exciting new names. A livewire performer, Toussaint has recently supported Mo Gilligan, Russell Howard and Paul Chowdhry.

Toussaint Douglass has also appeared on BBC Presents: Stand Up For Live Comedy (BBC Three/One) and is a writer for The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One).

Sara Barron

Sara Barron is one of the fastest-rising comedians of her generation. Since her 2018 debut at the Edinburgh Fringe, she’s starred on shows including Live at the Apollo (BBC), Would I Lie to You? (BBC) and Frankie Boyle’s New World Order (BBC).

A powerhouse live act, Sara’s two stand-up hours, For Worse (2018) and Enemies Closer (2019) has sold out at both the Edinburgh Festival and at multiple runs in London’s Soho Theatre. She was nominated for ‘Best Newcomer' at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards and at the Chortle Awards, as well as receiving rave reviews from publications including The Times, The Guardian, The Independent, The Evening Standard and The Scotsman.
