His razor-sharp wit and seamless transition from film and TV writing to stand-up comedy will have your event buzzing. Nancy MacDonald

Self described "plus size d!s-knee princess” Nancy MacDonald brings her comic talents to the mic this month. Nancy is creator of LAFTALENZ and 1/4 of the Mandem Fridays Comedy collective.

Matt Hitch

(lovingly) described his whole life as a "comedian" in both school reports and HR meetings alike, Matt finally decided to formalise it and put on a show to more willing participants. Despite being always the bridesmaid and never the bride in various different comedic competitions, such as SYTYF (he's not brave enough for Britain's got talent) he's managed to find a bride of his own, and he can't wait to tell you about it...

Sang Don Park

Sang is an award winning, South Korean comedian, who has performed in various cities around the world, such as Melbourne, Sydney, Seoul, as well as including London. Though he is a high-energy comedian, he also makes an effort to thoroughly heed and adjust to his audience as well to carry out the best performance for the crowd. His comedy styles include observational, cultural, and some improvisational riffs as well. Also, as an experienced Beatboxer, he incorporates some original music and unique sound effects into his set as well.

With his unique multi-cultural background and his extensive music knowledge, he provides an original experience for the crowd.

Selam Amare

Selam is a cultural producer, comedian, and advocate of migrant issues in London. She joined No Direction Home in 2019 and has since worked with Counterpoints Arts, producing part of No Direction Home standup comedy event series.

David Whitley

Born in Aberdeen to a military family, David’s formative years were spent all over the world in various army camps. David went to a military school Gordons in Surrey, where he learnt the bagpipes and ironically an English accent. The plan was to join the British Army until the last minute when he chickened out and minced off to drama school instead. David plays the bagpipes which has served him well, piping at many events including the Royal Tournament, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Gwen Stefani’s wedding. He also busked in London to fund his training at Drama Centre.

Training at the Drama Centre from 1998 to 2001, David was very lucky to be in the last intake to be trained by the two genius mentors Christopher Fettes and Yat Malmgren.

After graduating David spent the following years pursuing his love of theatre and Shakespeare, performing the roles of Mercutio, MacDuff, Fluellen in Henry V, in various productions up and down the country.

Fast forward a few years… David is in America, and after telling a string of lies to impress an agent, he found himself performing his very first stand up comedy gig at the Friars Club in Beverly Hills. He’s never looked back and now regularly plays some of the biggest clubs in the country.

David is still an active actor. He was involved in the BAFTA wining comedy Fonejaker and is acting in many films. Clips can be seen on the videos page of this website.
