Can we be Friends?

TheTramshed Friend scheme is your way to support our work here in the heart of Woolwich. Tramshed runs drama based programmes for young people and Adults with Learning Differences, hosts theatre, comedy and live music, holds rehearsal spaces for local creatives and is home base for numerous local community and creative organisations. Becoming a Friend is a way to say that you want our work to continue. Whether you have been a participant, seen shows in our building or simply share our mission, you can show your support from as little as £10/month.

Why should we be Friends?

The joy of creativity and the bonds of community should be open to all. Becoming a Friend makes this possible. Some examples of how include:

  • £10 can pay for sensory-friendly materials for one N-Abled session, ensuring our programmes are welcoming to all

  • £100 can pay fora week of heating and lighting in one of our studios, keeping our spaces warm and welcoming for community classes

  • £250 can pay for 10 children and their adults to see a show, introducing them to the wonderful world of theatre

  • £1,000 can pay for essential technical equipment maintenance and upgrades, keeping our productions professional and our spaces safe

  • £2,500 can pay for one term of a youth drama tutor, building essentials skills and confidence in the next generation

There are also the everyday little running costs. Keeping milk in the fridge, sugar, teabags and coffee, and making sure there is loo-roll in the toilets for participants/carers and audience members. We want Tramshed to be a welcoming, safe and warm (in all senses of the word) place where people feel inspired and valued. Being a Friend helps us make sure that this is all possible, and that the funds our partners provide are solely dedicated to programme delivery.
