Visiting the Tramshed

Our venue is located a 2 minute walk from Woolwich Arsenal Train and DLR station, and a 5 minute walk from the Elizabeth Line.  

Woolwich Arsenal Station has step-free access via lifts from both the DLR and Southeastern Rail platforms.  

We have 7 bus stops within 1 minute of our door – you can catch buses 51, 53, 54, 96, 99, 122, 161, 177, 178, 180, 244, 291, 380, 386, 422, 469, 472, 658 directly to our space.

We have no onsite parking at Tramshed. If you are planning to drive, there are a variety of paid and unpaid parking options close by, including on street parking. Check Royal Borough of Greenwich's Parking Guide or Parkopedia for further information on local parking. Zap Map has a list of local electric charging points for vehicles
 

Accessibility in the Venue 

We offer 

  • Level access across the building 
  • A low service counter at the Box Office and Kitchen/Bar 
  • An induction loop in Box Office/Reception, Studio 2, Bar, the Theatre and technology for users of the Assisted Hearing app – WaveCAST in the Theatre 
  • Gender neutral individual cubicle toilets 
  • Accessible toilet on every level 
  • Changing Place on ground floor 
  • Lift access to first floor level 
  • Wheelchair spaces in the theatre at Ground and First Floor Level 
  • Quiet room available on request for prayer, breast-feeding, or in case of sensory overload 
  • You can charge mobile devices at Tramshed in the Foyer and use free wifi 

You are very welcome to bring a support dog into Tramshed. Please let us know in advance if you can as we have some team members who are allergic to dog hair – and so that we can get a water bowl ready!

We have a variety of spaces available for hire for community events, classes, rehearsal space, functions and performances. From a performance space with 100 seat capacity, to office spaces - whatever your need for affordable space in Woolwich, we’ve got you covered.

Opening Hours

Our building is open to the public from 10am-8pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 3.30pm Saturday. We are happy to organise hires for groups and events beyond these times by arrangement.
