Junior Youth Theatre (JYT)

Our acclaimed weekly youth theatre groups for ages 5 - 7

Wednesdays | 4:00pm - 5:00pm

A fun introduction to theatre, creativity and imagination.

Junior Youth Theatre is the perfect place for young people who love to play, imagine and perform. Through drama games, storytelling, movement and creative activities, participants build confidence, make friends and develop their communication skills in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Our sessions encourage young people to express themselves, work as part of a team and explore their creativity while having plenty of fun. No previous experience is needed, just enthusiasm and a willingness to join in.

Tramshed's Youth Theatre has been running for almost 50 years and has been attended by some famous locals including Bernadine Evaristo who won the Booker Prize in 2019. Bernadine credits her love for the arts having grown when she was part of Tramshed's Youth Theatre.
