Our theatre offers a professional space for hosting for theatre, circus, dance and music in Woolwich, South East London.
About the space
The Theatre is a ground-floor venue with direct access through the foyer. The foyer offers a welcoming space for guests to gather before performances, with the option to include a bar for pre-show refreshments.

Using the Foyer
If you are hosting an event, performance or premiere here, you are welcome to use the foyer as a place for guests to gather or to get red carpet ready.
We can also open our bar for guests, just ensure to include this in your enquiry.

Technical support packages
Free services include:
Bluetooth Speaker, with the option to plug in sound if Bluetooth is unavailable.
Please note, if you can’t use Bluetooth and need to plug in for sound AND need microphones, you will need to request 2 Bluetooth speakers.
2 wired microphones with mic stands – to be plugged into Bluetooth speaker
Projector set-up downstairs – hirer to use own laptop but can be offered a clicker upon request
Houselights to be controlled by hirer – preset 1 is full houselights, preset 2 is for “cinema” mode
Technician services (£26.50 per hour) include:
Full use of our sound syste 2 floor speakers, 2 overhead speakers, 2 subwoofers, with options for additional speakers upon request – can be controlled either by technician or by hirer e.g DJ
If needed, will set-up and sound check any instruments required by the event e.g keyboard, guitar.
Use of wireless and/or wired microphones with mic stands and headset/lapel lavalier microphones upon request.
Full use of our LED lighting rig with lighting cues with houselights to be controlled by the technician - extra fixtures can be added/adjusted dependent on event and upon request. Projection can be run from upstairs, linked to our sound system and operated by technician (please note the clicker does not work when laptop is in the tech booth, so for presentations we’d recommend running it from downstairs)
All technician requirements need to be discussed and specified before the event by emailing technician@tramshed.org and completing the Tramshed Technical Form (sent after booking), as we cannot guarantee adding/testing extra equipment on the day.
